EPW, The Wild West is ...Wild (and awesome)

So by now you would of figured out that im a Aussie wrestling fan...and to that point lets have alook at one of my favourite organisations in the country, those vastly talented people from the west coast , Explosive Pro Wrestling....

The promotion founded in 2001 , EPW was originally known as Explosive Coastal Wrestling. The company hosts monthly shows in Bassendean's Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre or BODYSLAM CENTRAL if you like

Just In case you want to do some shopping.....

I first came across EPW only in 2010, i was you tubing for aussie wrestling and found  among other things a pack of dastardly heels ( well they didnt think so) called The Blackest Hour ,

that was me hooked and I kept an eye on EPW ever since when possible, recently however , the gods of technology have smiled upon me and I discovered vimeo that the promotion has a absolute mother load of shows for purchase , so I did

Never happy with some shows of a promotion I dig, I got a few and fully intend to increase the amount when possible....now to the current state of play and the talent ive discovered since i became a EPW  addict

Lets start shall we with arguably, the greatest Aussie tag team in recent history...and recent WWE signees, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicolls or The Mighty Dont Kneel or TMDK if you like , well technically they founded TMDK and there is always a presence in the promotion even if Shane and Mikey are in All Japan kicking all kinds of nippon freckle
In mid  2010, Nicholls and  Haste passed a tryout held by Pro Wrestling Noah and World League Wrestling (WLW) in the United States, which allowed them to begin training at Noah's dojo. They made their debut for the Japanese promotion on 23 February 2011, and began working together under the team name "TMDK"  a stable, also including Elliot Sexton, Jonah Rock, Marcius Pitt and Slex , Rock and Slex have also represented TMDK in Noah.

....Shane and Mikey  were on a NJPW Wrestle Kingdom recently, and that says a lot about the regard they are held in in Japan...heres to them having a cracking set of matches with American Alphas and or Anderson & Gallows in WWE/NXT.

Tyler Jacobs Interview

Hughesy The Bloke from the local, is if nothing else , a very aussie gimmick, including flanny shirt and to top it off his almost a ranga, he could almost be called Bluey, definately got some skills and his matches are by and large pretty damn good...
Dan Moore "A Nice Guy" also a fairly brilliant gimmick, although cant say Im loving his "cardies" but thats probably just me, seen him in a couple of multi guy matches and he can go, a bit of flying, a bit of decent mat work, and as far as I can tell his the ultimate face...although knowing my luck his probably a friggin heel now.
Jarrad Slate "The Legion of One"..Im a Road Warrior mark from WAYYYY back, so this bloke attracted my attention almost immediatly...cant say Ive seen a lot of him, but what ive seen seems to be spot on.

Sam Fantastic "The + size party animal" first time I saw him, I thought thats a pretty good gimmick AND he can go as well, but apparently, alledgedly, his had a temperament turn over the recent  chrissy holidays and is now a quasi heel
TWITCH..to say that this bloke is a total whack job is an understatement, which is what I like about him, his off the wall gimmick keeps yopu guessing exactly what the hell mood his gonna be in at any given moment...I recently saw him in a Hardcore Battle Royal and he more than helds his own against "The Solution"
"Shotgun" Tyler Jacobs....First saw him in the tag team "The Headhunters" with Devlin Reeves and iuf he wasnt going against McMassive , they would been my favourite tag team ANYWAY, I dig his gimmick and his ring work, and recently his been having a few cracks at the EPW big belt but Davis Storm and The Solution have benn frigging with him, so expect the Shotgun to get real knarky with the leader of the Solution

Allyson Cruz been around EPW since April 2015 and is , to be fair, quite the worker her recent match with "The Fairest of them all" was fairly impressive, like to see her have a go with Shazza McKenzie or Kelli Anne to see how she would go
"Gorgeous" Garry Young  Saw him first going against Hugesy, helped out by Ms Fontaine, but his been around EPW for quite the while now and has name changed from Schmidt too Young in the process, he was trained by Lance Storm, so you know his got a solid base , havent seen him on any 2016 shows yet , dunno why.
Logan Grey..a High flyer who had a helluva rookie year by all accounts  won the Rising Star tourney and the Invitational tourney as well, looked to be going into TDMK as thier "rookie" but that eviil bugger Davis Storm got to him and he joined "The Solution" as a full member, this led him to a match with Shane Haste at Goldrush 2016, and he got bounced around by the TMDK leader something chronic, cant see him being a heel for long, his too cool to watch.
Michelle K Hasluck..."The Fairest of them all" yeh sure , anyway, I believe I saw the Queen of EPW when Vice and her were on a PWA show at the Campbelltown Cube a couple of years ago, first time i saw her I thought, has to be a face .right?, nup, she is a sneaky conniving evil cheating heel and their her good points, apart from doing commentaryt in the past , Hasluck has recently has got into it with Allyson Cruz for her belt that isnt ....hell of a gimmick and truly despised by the EPW regulars, and thats a good thing.

"The Don" Michael Corleone...made his EPW debut in 2005 and has prtetty much been a tag team specialist , firstly forming a tag team with Lord Jonathon called The European Union,  he also is the proud presenter of the Hardcore Open Invitational, he won the belt in 2012, but rarely defends it agin other roster members usually he "picks" people out of the assembled faithful and gives them a walloping and then he celebrates his awesomeness and invincibility, The Don formed a team with Hayden Zenith called Generation Zero and they gave McMassive a bit of a hard time finally taking the straps at GoldRush 2016

Speaking of which....

McMassive.."The moving man mountain" Mad Mike Massive and "The Shootfighter" Gavin Mc Gavin are quite possibly my favourite aussie tag team..Mad Mike began in 2008 and Gavin started in 2009 and they started being McMassive in 2013 , and have been at or near the top of the EPW tag scene since , the dicohtomy of the two fella's is the grabber I think, oh and the move set they possess is pretty damn good too, Gavin does the flying and grappling and then Mad Mike either teabags or steamrolls the poor buggers their wrestling, and 9 time out of ten they hit their opponents with McMassacre to take the 3 count

"The Messiah" Davis Storm...debuting in 2001, he trained with the near legendary Jag for a bit in South Australia, he also trained for a bit in the New Japan dojo with Shane Haste and Mikey Nicolls along with Bobby marshall....Davis has trained many wrestlers and is considered to be vastlt talented in this endeavour, Storm has also been voted the EPW Wrestler of the Year in 2010 and had two Fued of the year wins with Marcus Pitt and New Gen in 2011 and 2014 respectively...had a bit of an epihany in 2013 and turned heel (or did he) and formed The Solution due to the fact that EPW (his creation) had become full of selfish a-holes and he was gonna fix it...

BEWARE OF THE SOLUTION

The Mckenzie Brothers ..the boys are WA locals coming from Margaret River and near as I can tell, from what ive seen, for a while were the most over tag team in the promotion ...but then Byron turned on Bodhi mid match which has led to quite the fued between the boys...Bodhi beat Byron at RE-aWAKENING 14  and thenn whooped him again in Hair v Hair match at Goldrush 2016

The Dropkicks...have two individuals been more aptly named ever in Aussie wrestling?..I think not, Leo Pratt and his partner "The Big Rig " Scotty Ryan teamed up approx 2013 and have been a fairly popular (heel or otherwise) team ever since , they have been in the ring with all the EPW teams including TMDK and McMassive , yet to win the straps , Im fairly sure they'd be keen to win them...even if they are a pair of dropkicks.

EPW's Greatest Creation - THE STATE OF ORIGIN MATCH

what an OUTSTANDING concept, Im stunned no one had come up with it earlier , the first match was in 2014 and had a team from NSW consisting of Mick Moretti, Kingi and Mikey Broderick as one half of the main event, they were going up against AK47, Marcus Pitt and Kiel Steria, Team NSW took the win cause Steria done a swifty on his WA team mates ....then came the 2015 version, which in my humble opinion, is one of the best team based matches Ive ever seen...

Team WA consisted of, once again, AK47, and Marcus Pitt, this time however they had "The Smashing Machine" Chris Vice with them and they were going up against  Damien Slater (drink the Slaterade I dare ya) and the near legendary Jag Hartley Jackson AND weirdly enough, Pitts TMDK team mate (or is he) Jonah Rock who flipped on Kingston and Pitt at the previous show, and their pet ref whose name escapes me...

a truly outstanding match, the six of them were all over Bodyslam Central in, like I said, one of the best matches Ive ever seen , and ive seen a shitload in 47 (very) odd years of watching wrestling, yeah I know BIG call, but I stand by it...a deadset cracker ...everyone should see it.

So there you go...a breif blogaroo about my recent discovery of EPW , hope you dug it and it motivates you to go hunt them down for some stuff

WRESTLING OLD BLIGHTY STYLE - The Blogaroo about Pommy wrewstling

G'day as you might of guessed by now, Ill watch almost anything pro wrestling related from just about anywhere, Ive got Mexican, Japanese Aussie, American stuff by the stack, Ive also got a fair amount of British stuff...and its pretty damn good ...We've all seen "famous" British workers like The Bulldogs, William(Steven)Regal, Exotic Adrian Street , Fit Finlay and the like and me being the history buff that i am I thought there must of been guys before that lot so i went digging and bought a dvd that had the golden era of pommy wrestling on it

The dvd was top heavy with the "Golden Era" blokes, names that may or may not be familiar like

BIG DADDY, KENDO NAGASAKI, JONNY SAINT, HAYSTACKS, BRIAN MAXINE, TALLY HO KAYE , MICK MCMANUS, ROLLERBALL ROCCO, VIC FAULKNER and KUNG-FU....and lets not forget the NWA World Midget Champion LORD LITTLEBROOK , who I met when i was a little tacker at a Sydney show many yonks ago.  My personal favourite out of that lot would have to be Kendo, he had..it..and when he took his mask off on national tv the country Popped, Lots of people were fans of a bloke called Shirley, yep, Big Daddy was the go to guy for filling a building, and thats alright I suppose,  except he had one less move than the Ultimate Warrior and that aint my cup of tea, I cant imagine what it was like when him and Giant Haystacks had their big fight, apparently it wasnt very good and only went for a few minutes after weeks of build-up, then there was a couple of real characters Peter "Tally Ho" Kaye who had a posh fox huntsman gimmick and the brilliant Catweazle, thus named after and with the blessing of the tv character..Your basic witch doctor Masambula was failry popular, if you liked "stiff" then Cyanide Sid Cooper and Pat Bomber Roach were your boys and on the other side if you wanted a laugh than Les Kellett was your man, manys the night Les was sent out after the white hot main event to calm down the crowd and of course their were the woman the one that comes to mind immediately is Klondike Kate, a dastardly heel who was attacked more than once by angry grannies she even got a foot and mouth injection jammed in her leg one night , now that's HEAT

than came the next generation .... There is a couple of other blokes on the dvd that peaked my interest were  Mark "Rollerball" Rocco and a bloke called Kung Fu, who started out under a hood but wrestled Rocco, if you could call that war wrestling, in a real flash judo gi, there was Tony St Clair who went on to make it fairly big in Japan for Baba and Inoki, There was the war machine from Belfast Dave Fit Finlay, who almost got WCW booted off air after busting up Regals face on national tv, also one of my personal favourites Johnny Kincaid , billed from Barbados but actually came from Battersea, and was a "blue eyes " pom speak for face until he dyed his afro blond and started cheating, he had to fight his way out of many buildings alongside his tag partner Dave Bond as "The Carribbean Sunshine Boys" ,  then there was the one and only ,the flamboyant son of a Welsh miner . The Exotic Adrian Street, not only could he wrestle like a machine, he could ping off the punters something chronic, he was unique at a time when plain trunks and boots were in the majority, his flamboyance had many a punter think they could take him until they tried that was, after conquering Blighty Street buzzed off to the Colonies to see what was what and is still there today....speaking of pommy stars heading off to the colonies.

WWE/WCW/ TNA / ROH and their British contingents
Tommy Billington and his cousin Davey Boy Smith are the first I can clearly remember as I saw them on Vince's tv that eminated from  that bulding in Allentown Pennyslvania , and they immediatley caught my eye mainly cause they werent working like your basic yank model that Vinny had they flew they grappled and they made the rest look a bit slow to be fair...than came the WCW contingent of Steven Regal , now William, Fit Finlay, who i had seen on a Super J cup dvd before, I can also remember seeing Regal and Dave Taylor tagging in WCW on that godawful Disneyland show they did, they apparently teamed up in WWE but i didnt seen any of that stuff.

To be sure there has been  few  poms enter into the States wrestling world, many vastly talented, mostly badly used or saddled with shit bad luck , for example I hear you scream, OK, howabout Nigel McGuiness , I had the pleasure to see Nige in Sydney, wrestling Brian Danielson, I thorughly enjoyed his work in ROH , I even enjoyed his work however time a short it was with TNA, due to injury/ illness, Nige never got to make the kind of money he thoroughly deserved, if you get a chance to see his doco "The Last of McGuiness " go watch it its a cracker....now to other Stateside based poms, The current leader of the League of Nations, Seamus "Sheamus" O'Shaunessy has ha a decent run in WWE ever since he got there, and then theres the bloke he has wrestled from one end of blighty to the other, Stu"Wade Barrett" Bennett is another great worker who keeps getting saddled with shithouse gimmicks, sure he gives it his best shot, but geez, sooner he gets back to Blighty ala Drew Galloway, (although Drew does do spots for various yank indies) it will be all the better for him I reckon, Although, maybe Wiliam Regal should be their mouthpiece, that would work too.

Other than the guys in League of Nations, Vince  has a couple of deadset British stars at the moment,  Adrian (Pac) Neville, the man gravity forgot, who I saw for the first time in The King of Europe Cup in 2007 and has continued to impress ever since, although I think the name change to Neville is just ridiculous, cause in Australia calling someone a Neville is actually short for Neville Nobody and he definately aint a nobody and the rising star of the famous Knight wrestling family, Britanni"PAIGE" Knight, who I think actually kickstarted the Divas revolution, has helped to build,  cause everybody else in the place had to get UP to her standard to compete, and finally the current NXT champion, the leader of Balor Club Fergal "Finn Balor" Devitt, the superstar from New Japan, I never thought Id see him in WWE..wait a sec, I almost forgot "The Irish Lass Kicker"  Rebecca"Becky Lynch"Quinn  "The Irish Lass Kicker",  who was trained by Fergal, she's pretty damn good too add her to the reason the Divas Revolution got kick started.

and then was over in Dixieland, a couple of years ago there was  The British Invasion, who I thoroughly enjoyed, Nick "Magnus"Aldis, Doug "The Anarchist" Williams and the muscle bound sidekick Rob Terry, a great group, and besides I could watch Dougy Williams all day anyway, Magnus even had a couple of runs with the big belt before realising was a creative shithole TNA was and split for better opportunities, however there are a couple of battling brits who have stuck it out i Dixieland.... the current King of the Mountain Champ BRAM aka Tom Latimer, who started out stateside as Kenneth Cameron in FCW (WWE) but started out SWWA in Birmingham.....And then there is the  mighty Rockstar Spud who I will speak more of in the British rebuilders chapter, but rest assured his size is no hindrance to his talent, he makes most guys look useless on the mic...and his suits are bloody FANTASTIC

THE RE-BUILDING OF BRITISH WRESTLING

Some sanctimonious arsehole, who thought he knew what was best for all and a assundrie ,called Greg Dyke dropped the axe on british wrestling and it was off tv in 1988, Big Daddys brother and promoter Max Crabtree tried like hell to keep going after losing his tv time but eventually pulled the pin on his company in 1995....The UK then put  WWE programming on from that point, was wrestling in a downslide, I couldnt tell you but eventually some young guys came along with a dash of guts and brains and went OUR TURN ....Now, lets investigate the guys who attracted my attention and got me into British wrestling after I thought it was done for .....Sort of THE RE-BIRTH TALENT

Starting out with NWA UK Hammerlock , a bloke called Alex Shane decided he need to get British wrestling back to some of its former glory and started the FWA as well as eventually promoting big shows like the one at the Coventry Skydome, which is were I saw Spud for the first time, I grabbed the Skydome show on spec mainly cause of Samoa Joe, Styles Fallen Angel and CM punk being on it, but then I saw Spud and the evil heel Alex Shane do their stuff along with "The Anarchist" and James Tighe and I became a fan of modern poms at that point and have been ever since...Then I saw The King Of Europe Cup, which had a stack of yanks (Hero, Castagnoli, Trent Acid, Generico, Matt Sydal, ) BUT had a few OUTSTANDING poms on it, Pac, Martin Stone , Nigel McGuiness and Doug Williams  and also Andy Boy Simmonz who beat Pac in a 1PW Title match during the cup, the final ended up being Doug Williams vs Nigel McGuinness and it was a cracker with N igel going over .....

So I was keeping an eye on the UK at this point and discovered some awesome talent ...RJ Singh and his mates in the Bollywood Express /Bhangra Knights, the brilliant Robbie Brookside, who had been around since Regal but somehow slipped my gaze until then, a couple of pre-Pac flyers Jodie Fleisch and "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm, I even discovered a gimmick that should of been huge BUT wasnt, The Dirtbike Kid looked like a good worker but ended up famous (or infamous) for gettinginto a shoot with Great Sasuke and of course I saw Spud , like I said I saw Spud aty the Coventry Skydome show and thought "shit, his gonna get broken" you know your small when you make Petey Williams look like Hulk Hogan, but he not only survived that match, he turned heel becoming "The Rockstar" and became a legend unto himself, he almost didnt make it though he got his neck damaged in a match vs Jonny Storm and Marty Scurll, but he soldiered on making quite the name for himself and eventually winning British Boot Camp and signing on with the TNA roster were he is as we speak.

POMMY WRESTLING DOCUMENTARIES

I have always said that your local wrestling industry is doing alright when they start making documentaries about it and the poms are no different, I have amassed quite a few as it happens, stuff like

PINFALL, GRAPPLERS, GRUNTS AND GRANNIES, SUPERMEN, INSANE FIGHT CLUB 1& 2, THE BRITISH WRESTLER (Grado) and there is a new one available called TWO FALLS TO A FINISH which looks the good...geez, almost forgot the documentary  about, who could be described as the UKs premier wrestling family( unless you count the Crabtrees),  FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY,  the story of The Knight family and in particular the daughter, Saraya - Jade, as she jets off to the U.S to join NXT as PAIGE...

as near as I can tell the Knights have been around forever and have been supplying talent just as long..which includes two sons Zak and Roy who are currently tagging as The UK Hooligans, Roy came to my attention, hell, the family came to my attention on a FWA show were Roy (The Zebra Kid) was in a no DQ match against  his dad, Rowdy Ricky with mom Saraya also involved, talk about the family that plays together, youngest son Zak was also on the doco, as he was going for a WWE tryoput as well as his sister.....now to the guys that grabbed my attention recently

THE VERY MODERN ERA

I recently have been grabbing a few british show either on dvd or on Youtube and I tell you what, aint the talent cracking hot!!...a couple of promotions discoverys have been sheer fluke , PROGRESS was a chance find on you tube one day with them posting their chapter 13 show for gratas as it wasnt quite up to scratch for selling , nice of them I thought,

it was thats good a show I went and bought the Chapter 14 Thunderbastard dvd right away, some of the talent on that Ch 13 show was beyond brilliant, Dazzling Darrel Allen, Rampage Brown, Kris Travis, martin Kirby, Will Osperay, Prince Devitt, El Ligero, Zack Sabre Jnr , Mark Andrews and the then Progress Champ, Jimmy FKN Havoc ..I mean holy crap, how much more greatness do you want on one show, I ask you, ad Chp 14 was no worse, most of the fore mentioned along with Noam Dar , Mad Man Manson, Chuck Mambo, Pastor William Eaver, Eddie Dennis (Progress Tag champ in FSU along with Mark Andrews at the time) and quite possibly my favourite tag team at that point in time THE LONDON RIOTS (James Davis and Rob Lynch)....

I mentioned earlier about ICW doing a doco or two about themselves , well they made me go a hunt  for stuff and I got a hold of Insane In The Membrane from 2012 and once again, arse deep in talent, the late lamented legend Drew McDonald was on hand to give Grado a hand also on the show was Jack Jester, Mikey Whiplash, Kid Fite, Wolfgang, Chris Renfrew, Jimmy Havoc, Jonny Moss, The Bucky Boys and Red Lightning
Once again an OUTSTANDING show and the commentators are piss funny besides, since then Drew Galloway has arrived in the promotion and jumped the fence a time or two to either have the faithful singing or riled up...I fully intend to go birko and purchase some extra ICW stuff soonish.

To be fair there are a few young poms that have impressed me no end, some even made it to Orstralya recently,  those gents being Jimmy Havoc and Tyler Bate respectively, other names that have caught my attention of late include  Big Damo, Flash Morgan Webster, Joe Coffey, Lionheart, Sha Samuels, Bubblegum, Dave Mastiff and Mark Haskins to name drop but a few...I thinks its safe to suggest that Pommy wrestling is in very, very safe hands and as long as they keep producing bang on shows they will keep the tradition alive.

WIRLIF says: I finally watched EPW HELL or HIGHWATER 2014

Yeah, Yeah, I know the show is from 2014, and fear not i have a valid excuse for being tardy with this particular show report...I only just discovered vimeo which has an abundance of EPW (among others) stuff to buy and download , which i've done a bit and now have 5 shows which I started  with State Of Origin 2015...BUT ANYWAY....to this one

Its an absolute cracker of a card from top to bottom, there was'nt a dud match on the card, so allow me to share with you with my thoughts on the show

Gazza and his cohort were out first and as near as i could tell, the faithful think his a jibbering douche bag, so his doing his job I guess,

then came the bloke from the local, flanney on back and tinnie in hand, Hughesy, pretty much started out with Gazza kickinh the lad around the ring,

then Hughesy made a comeback and got Gorgeous with a dropkick and a spinebuster, then Gazza decided it was shenanigans time and pulled the ref in just as Hughesy got to him,

which set up the distraction that led to Ms.Fontaine to blast the lad from the local with a fairly dusty international object,

this led to the Jimmy Garvin clone to the victory.

Participant arrival was as follows Jacobs, A Nice Guy, Twitch and the + size party animal Sam Fantastic

...most of the match was Twitch and Tyler slapping around Dan,Sam coming to the rescue

with a power bomb and a aero plane spin, he was thanked by Dan with a Cross body from the 3rd floor,

Tyler Jacobs fought back but The Nice Guy Dan Moore took the win.

Fall 1:  The McKenzie Brothers (Bodhi & Byron McKenzie) eliminated The Dropkicks (Leo Pratt & Scotty Ryan) via DQ

Fall 2: Jamie Jurah & ‘The Don’ Michael Morleone eliminated The McKenzies
Fall 3: Jurah & Morleone eliminated Koala Mask & Sam Fantastic

Fall 4: McMassive (Gavin McGaviun & Mike Massive) eliminated Jurah and Morleone
Fall 5: McMassive eliminated Elliot Forbes & Troy Bridges

Fall 6: TMDK (Jonah Rock & Marcius Pitt) eliminated McMassive
Fall 7: TMDK eliminated Jarrad Slate & Twitch

Fall 8: TMDK eliminated Hayden Zenith & Hughesy
Fall 9: The Solution (Richter & The Warship w/ Davis Storm) eliminated TMDK to

become the NEW EPW Tag Team Champions

And you thought a WWE Traditional Survivor Series match was a lot to take in...

well, EPW have upped that anty by having a ten team guantlet title match, and the champs dont even have to be the last team out they could draw any number, sort of like a Royal Rumble but with tags and stuff...

the first two out were The McKenzie Brothers and , what proved to be very apt, The Dropkicks (Leo Pratt (also very apt) & Scotty Ryan), Both teams  got stuck right in and had a helluva go around and then came Jamie Jurah and Michael Morleone closely followed by

Sam Fantastic and Koala Mask, who lasted about 11 seconds, Other teams entered including , Elliot Forbes and Troy Bridges, Twitch and Slate, and Hughesy and Hayden Zenith, Then came my personal favourites McMASSIVE  The Shootfighter and Mad Mike Massive were up for it and generally procceded to punch, kick, steamroll and tea bag anyone who got in the way, all this closely followed by THE MCMASSACRE.

The countdown stopped again and who should enter next but, quite possibly , the most over faction in all Australia, I may be wrong, I do live in the same state as 4Nations, but to be fair TMDK are fairly well known all over everywhere aint they?, ANYWAY,

Marcius Pitt and Jonas Rock entered the fracare and like the match wasnt hot enough already, the The Mighty Boys got stuck right in with "The Solution (Richter & Warship) until the Dropkicks,

yes them wanks that were already eliminated, stuck their 3c in and generally ruined TMDK's night by powerbombing Pitt through a table which gave The Solution the win and the straps..

DROPKICKS INDEED, Im gonna watch more EPW shows to see if those jabrones get smashed by TMDK

NEXT....

Speaking of "The Solution" their fearless (?) leader Davis Storm had a match against the one and only Alex "AK-47" Kingston,

Before it even got underway,  the new tag team champions Richter and The Warship tried taking him out before ”The Messiah’ Davis Storm entered the match,

Storm proceeded to blather on like all good creepy messianic figures do, until  AK47 got his wind back and promptly decided to shut Storm up,

with the Bodyslam Central crowd AND Hughesy cheering Kingston on, he kicked out of "The Eye of the Storm"

and rid the ring of Davis Storm after a rather good "Canadian Destroyer" for the 3 count

‘The Master of the Jurahverse’ Jamie Jurah put out a challenge to the youngest, fastest members of EPW’s roster in an effort to prove he still has what it takes

. Calling out ‘The Rising Star’ Hayden Zenith, Jurah entered the bout confident he would leave Zenith beaten and done for....

Jurah gained an advantage early spitting water in the face of Zenith. Jurah would succeed in busting Zenith’s lip open,  this fired up the Rising Star,

Zenith would climb the ropes and hit his patented Swanton Bomb to finish off the veteran. Both men would shake hands following the contest.

The third  ‘The Don’ Michael Morleone’s $3000 Hardcore Challenges was  next.

For the opportunity to earn a shot at the Don’s Hardcore Championship, the fans picked from the crowd had to win a pin the tail on the referee contest......

A young woman won the contest with an assist from the Don and as usual the Don would attempt to knock out the winner with the belt.

The young lady ducked and would jump off the top rope to hit a hurricanrana, momentarily shocking Morleone. The Don quickly regained his composure and ended the young woman’s challenge with a brutal sitdown powerbomb.

The Don and Lukey Bolland celebrated to the sounds of Simply the Best as the young woman was helped backstage by officials Giles O’Brien and Matt Smarkson.

It was now time for the main event..... .

It was a matter of how far the EPW Champion ‘The Smashing Machine’ Chris Vice and ‘The Behemoth’ Sebastian Sander would be willing to take risks and put their bodies on the line....

Sander did his best impersonation of "Wildman Marc Mero and the Sable in a sack gimmick,  and then made his intentions very clear as Vice made his entrance. Waiting for the champion brandishing a chair until Vice got closer to the ring where he flung the chair.

.....Punishment was most decidely dished out and received by both men, Sander eventually  gained the upper hand with two brutal chair shots to the Smashing Machine.

Vice got opened up and was wearing the proverbial crimson mask, BUT  the champ refused to die, which pinged off  Sander.....

A third chair shot flattened Vice out and the ringside medics rushed the ring only to be run off by the Behemoth. Sander demanded the referee count to three and a new EPW Champion was crowned......

Held back by EPW staff as the medics attempted to get Vice on the stretcher , AK 47, who had run in,  stared Sander down. As the former champion was rushed away by the medics, Sander left the ring a two time EPW Champion.

SO, there you have it my first ever EPW report...hope it makes you want to support the guys  and buy some...go on, you know you want to

@WIRLIF
